When I started to study pressure points out side the dojo I looked in to libray books on acupuncture and the like. These text books gave me a good basic knowledge of what a pp is. So, in this way although they don't teach about damage to the body do to pp, but they do give you some basic understandings of the laws that govern pp. and with carful thought, they can give light to the subject.

A question with a answer is not a question it is a insult! If you think you no better don't ask the question.
knowledge of pressure points and bunkai does not make you a karate fighter. Mastering kata as a fighting system but not lots of kata just one this makes you a true karateka.
kata is karate,karate is kata.
K.O.ing your students with pressure points to prove you can use pressure points to ko people is like stabbing you to show you how to fight with a knife or shooting you to show you how to shoot a gun. pressure points can be taught without being k.o.ed.
most of the ko instructors are too much into hurting there students and less into making sure they can use pressure points in a fight. Bunkai (BONKAI) are just phrases of a language of fighting you can't get buy in a fight with a good street fighter with just phrases you have to no how to fight with your kata as a entire language of fighting. your not following kata in order. you have to flow with it as a style of martial arts this is karate. If you want to learn this way sport sparring will stop you from learning this. I have a 14 year old student that can fight with naihanchi as a system and he is real good. THE OLD WAY OF FREE FIGHTING WAS TO FIGHT WITH KARATE THIS WAY. It's mostly lost because people are to busy learning lots of kata insted of learning lots about one good kata and how to fight with it. learn to fight with your kata and you will learn how to fight with pressure points on the street. Play with bunkai and k.o. students for fun or demos and you will never get there.
