You got to see Master Moran do a toe kick to a bowling ball he can kick it from one end of the DO JO to the other end with the tip of his toe! and his thumb press is even stronger! REAL DEAL
I just got to ask - What Century do all of you live in
The 16th Century - and you all walk around with out wearing SHOES
Well, just in case you haven't noticed; Its Now the 21st Century
And, the hardening of the Hands, and the Feet - Is So Cave-Man like, don't you think
Hi Tom
I would feel better knowing that I could do more than necessary if needed for any situation.
What if you were sleeping and someone broke into your house. Would you take the time to put shoes on?

Good Morning Scott;
Well, what ever make You Feel Better
But, If You are "Actually" In the training of Kyusho, You Do Not Need Too Harden Anything
If Someone broke into My Home - I do not need to have my "Hands", or my "Feet" Hardened in order to protect my self, or my Family

I know, or I Surly Hope that your just Joking
But, if you are at all serious about having Hard Hands, and Hard feet , and calling them your "Secret Weapon" then, all I can say is maybe when you get older, and are able to think out of the box, you will see how silly that is

well lets look at the shape of the thumb on the fist.it does angle upward in a 45* angle. It would be effective close range and for upward jabs or grapling points. There is another unsung hero of the fist, the index finger. its designed for poking like an arrow
both are effective on respective points. if i can preech anything, its angle and direction. expirment on yourself. or with a fellow classmate with 10% power!

You guy are so funny, I really get a kick out of the thing you say. How do I do this or that? I do it this way! one that way stinks! my way is best! Well I think your way stinks! and so on. when the true is truely unknow to you.
I guess, Martial art will never change, every one is saying," my way is the best way. The only people your fooling is yourselves and the students under you. martial art is not a religion, for if there is one God there is one way to please him. but martial arts is situational and mathamatical. and there are many many ways. Not just one.You all sound like you know every thing, like you can not be defeated! but thats not true, there are very few with that title, and the few with this title got it by great skill and a lot of luck.
Insteat, try to look at your art as a foundational stepping stone, then use this site and all the other site to build apon your knowledge. don't be so critical!!!!
Master Mas, title (undefeated,) practiced Goju Ryu, mastered it, and when on finding what works for him, teaching all his high students to do the same. Do this and you may have the title under your name.
To go to the north pole, there is a miillion way to get there. Your direction depends on were you are starting from and how many mountains and valleys are in the way....
So is the way in combat.

You are correct Sir. I thought that was why this was called an ART. Individualizing is not sacreligious.

Thank you under dog, I though by sharing, by way of posting that some martial artists out there would find new or possible new, maybe easier way to do things that would HELP them to find the faster or a better way way to train. In stead what we seem to have here, for the most part is dogmatic veiw points, matial personallitys that pormotes there personal dinomination as if it was there religion! I personal as far as religion goes, am anti- dinominational, ssince there is one God there must be one way. But we see so many dinominations??? which make religion so complicated. I view martial art is a similar way. so many dinominations, and so many cult followers, and they speak with authority! they post with authority.
I have some question for them, answer if you Know.
#1, when you tell use about your master, have you asked the question of your master, are you undefeated in all of your combat situations?
If the answer is yes, known to be undefeated, you truely have the right to speak with authority.
If you don't know if your master is truely undefeated, you better ask him, for if his answer is," well most of the times, or I have mostly saved my self, or Some times, you may or may not have a wise master or instructor.
If his answer is I have never had a combat situation in my life, but he teaches you combat techniques and methods, you are in a cult! In that case, you are untested, and you should be looking for a real master or instructor. But you most of all, should never speak with authority.
For there are many cults in martial arts, that are very showy, and look good in the Dojo, but will never ever work in combat, and only give a fulse scents of security to the instructor and the student. and I am AGAINST this practice.
So, if you have been in combat, and the battle has work out in your favor ( most of the time ) you should help your fellow man by sharing, if not, you should be listening or asking questions, that would be a mark of a wise human being.
I look forward to hearing form all of you, but I hate to hear people bluster about there Great Masters with NO title.
