I have to thank Master Moran for this bit of advice. I tried a technique I learned from one of his videos. In order to train your thumbs to be able to press and penetrate deep enough to access some pressure points he suggested to train your thumbs by using a tennis ball. You can hold the ball in your hand and press your thumb to "dent" the ball. You need to press with the tip of the thumb( all most using nothing but the thumb nail). I have been doing this only a few days and already notice a difference in the strength of my thumbs. Thanks Master Moran Scott

I like to do pushups and pullups with my fingertips...I find that to be a nice conditioning exercice. And try to strike makiwara or heavy bag only useing your fingers.

Wow, that is some great advice I shall try soon with my students. It's funny how you live and learn. I had different technique but am open to new things. Thanks for the tips.

use a sand bag hit it with your fingers like a bird would peck at food make sure to breath out when srtiking relax your muscles keep your elbow in. master playing with a leaf or master playing with a kite training you hang a leaf or paper from a string or tape and polk a hole though it. it took me some practice to discover how to do this. i learned a lot from it. remember a hole not a rip. speed is all in your mind. you must train your body in a way that it can keep up with your mind. Fact all true dim mak masters are iron palm masters if you want chi at your fingers don't neglect iron palm training and chi breathing. Master Moran

stance 3 feet away from a wall and do one finger push ups on the wall. you may need to use two to start then four feet away and so on. then push ups on the floor, then hand stands. by that time you will have a true Dim Mak weapon.

I have been using the tennis ball trick for some time now and I can just about press my thumb into the tennis ball half way through. I am working on getting both sides of the ball to touch.

take a big fat telephone book, place it on a table, strike it with a birds beek fifty time a day. at first just raise your hand up over the book and drop it down on to it left right left. now the object is to strike every day with out harming the hands. after you practice rip two or three pages off the book till the book is gone. remember strike as hard as possible without harming your hands. Now you can do the same thing with your palms hammer fist Shuto and so on. I started by placing the book on a sooth granite tile as I went through the pages of the book, the speed and power grow stronger till I was no longer using the bookat all. In about a year just strikes the ganite tile, it broke and I would replace it. The whole idea is to strike with out harming the hands or the fingers. I got to the point were I could easily break a one and a half inch ganite stone with one strike with out harm or pain to the hand. at this point my mind knew that if I ever hit a person that way well you know. strikes at this point become light fast and painless but on the other hand dangerous when training with others. So I needed to become very gentle with the students. to save money I would have to not strike the granite so hard it got very costly. I then would go out to the sea and try to fine smooth stones to rain with It is so much fun to see the look on peoples faces when you break stone in front of them. The look of shock is worth it alone, but on the other hand the mind become fearless in knowing one of those strikes will do the trick, a second one won't be needed.

While training for baseball years ago I found this to help.
Take a small round peice of wood ( about 18 inches long. Perhaps cut to size a wooden handle of an old shovel) Tie a rope to the center of the wood. On the other end tie a 10 or 15 pound weight.
Now hold your hands and arms straight out in front of you with the wood parallled to the ground with one hand on each end of the wood and roll (wind) the rope up so the weight it lifted up. Then slowly unwind it again. Repeat.
Hope this makes sense. It greatly strenghens your wrists as well as helps you impove your grip.
