here's a good tip for sparring. Don't do it learn to fight with your kata and you will be doing karate spar and you are just playing a game.

What I do is following: I trained in front of a mirror, this allows me to see my mistakes so I do not make them again. I always train with someone bigger in than me, this allows for real life situations in the sense of your attacker would most likely be bigger than you because as we all know attackers are cowards.
