I do see your point of view but who is to say that the original creators of any kata had the "only correct" or as in your term "perfections" way of using any particular technique?
For example lets quickly examine a straight thrust punch. Just as the name states this can be used as a straight punch. But I have also used this move as a block/then immediate/simultaneous strike to the attacker.
Which way is the correct use of this technique?

We do practice alot of the traditional katas as well. My kata was put together by me as a way to practice the techniques that I like the best and are able to put to work best for me.
Everybody's body size/shape/height is different so all moves will not necessarily work the same for everyone. Most of the techniques in my kata are taken from many others and re-arranged in a way that in the end turned into a small kata.
I wouldnt recommend throwing all original katas out the window but in my opinion it certainly doesnt hurt to put the mind to work to create something of my own
