Hi there,
I find that these sort of people use so much energy to do this tricks aswell, considering in fatal combat we only have approx 90 seconds what a wast of time most of these moves are. There are esier ways for someone to sleep using the gall bladder meridain which are far safer dont you think

Tom, I find that, different life style problem come up with most students. Like when the high school guys get there first girl friend. they may bring her in to see him do his stuff. Somtime later, they stat to slowly drift away, or when they find a girl and get married, or the first baby comes. Why?
Because they sometimes come because they want to learn just a little bit, and sometimes because they have time on there hands. some come for exercise maybe to get away from it all and so on. When I started out training back in 1962, I didn't know that I would be here writing articles about pressure points at this old age! We all thing at the start of your training, we will become Bruce Lee or something like that. But with some, other things we come to love slowly take first place and the training takes second then third, then fouth then fifth place till there is no place left for it. The few that stay training for the greater part of there life, just love it! Most people would rather party than train hard, so in life, they can't become Bruce Lee's, or anything special. They settle for normal, super natural takes lots of time and work and thought. We all wish we could some day be super natural and many people have a grand EGO and thing unrealistically that they are! Tom think about it, how many time have you met someone ( the hot shot) That knew it all, Who talked and talked and talked about his instructor and how good he is or was. Like he had it all! This used to happen over and over to me.
Here's a fun story, I think I tolled you that after work, I would take time out, to have a coffee and read, every day at a local coffee shop. I met a lot of charactors at this place, one of them, a guy who Would bug me every day about how great he was and that his instructor was so great and so on, you know the type. One day, he started his speach once again and started to get pushy, I was starting to get a little pissed but before I did, I said lets have a little test. I'm going to put my finger up your nose, lets see if you can (block) stop me before I do! ready put your hands up nw, ready, oh you weren't ready, we'll try again, oppps get ready now opps, didn't your instructor teach you how to block. After the third time Of putting my finger up his nose, he got the picture. The nexted day I was surprized when he came in to the coffee shop with dinner for me and a, Im sorry. EGO! it's a Bitch, If you've got one It will beat you like a rented mule till you get rit of it. Most come to feed there ego and that's the wrong foundation, It alway causes men to fall short of realistic goals. Thats why they leave. But if you can train just one, good one, in a life time, it's worth it. and look at all the free practice partners you get!
Yes, I understand your meaning - you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink type of thing! This is one of the reasons that i will not teach too the public - Most, will take a little of what your teaching, then just walk away for what ever reason's!.
There is a saying that i'm starting to like more and more = (The more I know People, The more I like Animals).

Isn't that something
You know, in all of the schools, not just martial art schools, but grade - high - school - trade school's ect,. One needed too ask the how's and why's in order too learn
Its to bad that some are just to shy

okay, i spent 5 years studing pressure point karate (chi striking). I dont know alot of forms, my sinsei didnt really teach forms, he taught techniques. we worked on angle and direction of each and every accessable pressure point avaialble. the next day, day after day i would feel like i was hit by a freight train. it was the nature of the beast!
I moved away from sinsei and found all these "americanized" schools, where they teach confortable karate. They teach forms and cardio but lost the pressure point aspect. One day I took the coach of the school aside and asked him if he offred translations to the forms where he after 25 years of teaching karate never really thought about it? what the heck! So i offered his class a day where i will break down his high ranking forms and translatue them for him. he laughed me out the doors. okay, fine. no holds barred. So one day during sparring, i took my gloves off and got all pressure point strking and kicking. 3 of his highest black belts wont ever spar with me again. ever. needless to say my purest attitude has gotten me in trouble.
why do we learn karate if we cant use it in real life? what good is it oing to do when a student can flip in the air 3 times and thow a bow staff?

Interesting read..
Ego is present in people, that's a fact,a thing may be bad for something, but that's a proof that it's good for smthing also. The human Ego may just lead us where we are today, the setting of goals, that seemed far out of reach in the past... Now,I'm just an example of an opposition here at the moment
I think the knowledge of pp system gives a somewhat self-confidence to a person, making him trust in him self even if a stronger or bigger oponent comes toward you, remembering that it's not just the pure strenght that matters.Or I've been thinking..even with an animal, some of these systems, that u teach master Lambert, could even be used to counter an animal,I'm sure.Where I live it's more common to get attacked by a dog than a person (thank god perhaps). The eyes, the neck, the genitals..if u're tought enough to remember the pp systems that u learned in a such a fierce and quick attack that an animal can cause,it just may save ur life. That's probably another topic that I'm talking about here
But I agree with your topic theme...Everything on this planet, there can be too much of.

Most modern Martial art instructors don't want to no pressure points or want to learn them they are happy in their own little world of play karate.
Take a look at my new channel on youtube called zankwack I have over 100 video clips up now.
