I would like to know how people incorporate pressure points with some styled of weapons like stickes, knives, bo, nun-chaku, sai, jo even swords.  Sometimes umbrellas or canes can be used.  Just looking for ideas.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom
Welcome back. Havent seen you around for a while.
Master Lambert has always trained me such that most weapons can be used just like your own personal weapons (hands , feet, elbows, etc...)
Ill start by with a quick example.
You can use a simple pen or pencil just like you would use a finger strike.

This sounds like a good idea for a thread I hope we can get others to join in.

I carry a koubaton on my key ring.  I've never had to use it for self defense, but I think it would hold up better than my fingers or small knuckles for strikes in a fight.  I got a spiral fracture in my thumb this past year in practice and since I am getting older, and have broken lots of little stuff before, the koubaton sounds like a good idea.

On the ground, I'm thinking of Sp 11 or tendon targets like K10 rubbed back and forth with the koubaton.  I've used it in practice for wrist grab releases it catches the SI points in the wrist joint for a straight wrist grab.

Vital targets like eyes ought to be good if lethal force is justified.

Anyone have specialized techniques I should learn for this weapon?

Hi Tom,
Get my device the sharp shooter key chain it's way better than a kobuton
they are for sale on this site  the video will give you some real good techniques to use with it. they are now made in plastic or metal. The para cord makes it 2 times faster and it is easy to carry and real hard to drop it.
I have a patent on it and it's now our best seller once you use it you wont use a kobuton again.

Bob is right his weapon is better. But to answer your question, any thrusting movement that you would find in any Kata, will adjust to your weapon. And I add I feel it is wiser to use any type of weapon you can get your hands on!
One I was sitting in a bar quietly having a drink, and a drunk sitting beside me wanted to start a fight. being smaller, he picked me. so when he was at the point of no return I picked up an ash tray and high he with it in the forehead which K. O.-ed the drunk and I drank -up and left. There is no shame in this.
