Hi Tom - I will share a method that is very good against against grappling - Now, the proff is in the pudding - I have used this as a body guard - It works! Use a Cuped/Palm and Strike (Hard) into the "Whole Side of the Neck!" This is what's known as a Percussion Strike -  The Attacker will become very dizzy - giving you the time needed to take him down. You could do this on yourself, just don't hit yourself real hard, just a medium blow will show you!

Yes, I know that one. The hand form is like the one you used as a boy when You Cupped your hand and put them together under your desk in school to make the Fart sound so you could blame it on the person sitting in front of you, right! HA HA HA

Yes Sir - You Got It Grin

When this cuped Hand is "Slaped" into the "Whole" back of the Neck, with a Medium Type of Blow, it will put the Bad guy into a "Paralyzed" State for a few minutes! He will not be able to move his body untill the affect wears off!!!

Hi there,

The cupped hand method we call the 'bitch slap' but do not consider it to be a true presure point but mearly a way of causing a spasm in the carotoid artery.  to me the use of a pressure point involes a lot more than that dont you?Huh

You can call it what you want, but i beg too differ with you, cause this method has worked for me - and i do not think that the recipient of this strike cares what you call it! And, of course pp involves a lot more than that Roll Eyes

Why don't you Inlighten us of how much there is too pp Grin

Razorack
Please make a post in this thread
http://www.pressurepointkarate.com/newforum/general_discussion/would_you_be_interested_in_an_online_pressure_point_class_or_seminar-t187.0.html

We are trying to gauge how much interest there would be from an online seminar or class.

Thanks

Razorack, I would like to say that, we are working on a way to do this but the problem is safety. Were it is true that there are many out there trying to work out the science of striking points, and there are many ways to do them, in a given equation.
above, it was mentioned that a cupped hand to the side of the neck will ko a person and that is so. what was know said is," the when, what, and why"? The above poster, by saying that the cupped hand is there perfered weapon says to me that, 1, they are under 5 foot 8 inches, or 2, they fear striking at close range! I say this because a high block-strike, at close range work better with less effort but because you would be using half the length of your arm (with a high block strike) you would have to be brave enough to counter at close range, or if you are short, and you are fighting with a taller opponent, you would need a longer arm to reach the neck, even at close range.
Now to teach these thing rather than a system that will not work for all, in every incounter is my goal, My problem is that poeple are not always wise, I personally know of people that have unwisely practiced with out proper mind set and have kill  and or have died. and it is all because the masters out there today are unwise. it would be hard for me to bare, so unless I know that I could do in the right way I will not teach it. I must find the proper way to teach it (by way of  sight) first, fore there are no bad students only bad teachers! The only proven way is for the master to know the student so he (the teacher) can know that he has the right spirit, any farmer knows that, unless you take out the weeds, there will be know harvest.
