i wasnt sure how to post my answeres where you request a translation to the form you are showing on youtube.

The openeing move is a very sneaky move, it has two translations:  The upward jab as shown by the knuckles facing upward and the strike going upward at a 45* angle is a strike to face: either just under the nose, between the eyes, or under the chin.  The fist under the elbow could represent a set up for an arm bar as ME 12 is typically a rolling point in arm bars or an arm disabling point in striking.

Ass you roll into yoru second position, that could be interpterted as an arm bar being turned into a throw.  The open hand at held a arm's length apart shows a potential trapping of a straight punch.  you would be trapping the fist at Lung 9-7 and holding ME 12 on the receiving arm point while kicking spleen 11, spleen 9, liver 9 or the groin.

the third set, as you pull your opponant closer; the elbow strike hits any of the 20 points in the neck, as you trap the hand on your shoulder hence the slap.  (Typically, what you do to your body you are doing to your enemy.) I am also thinking you could be driving your elbow into the cledio maxious (spelling?) or just plain  breaking the colar bone.

The very last set leaves us with a burce lee traditional open hand strike to the 20 points located on the neck. but the leg kick is a nice stike that would leave any incoming kicker wishing the last ten seconds back.  A nice soccer kick to Kidney 9, spleen 8-9, gall bladder 34 will make me cry for mamma. The spear hand stikes spleen 13-16, gall bladder 26-29 or any large organ area lung, stomach, liver.  Towards the last second I see a potential wrist lock.

I am going to comment on the foot work on the video.  THe person perfoming was a little awkard and off balance.

Very good interpretation of my kata techniques.
You are one of very view that caught what the slap to my shoulder does.

There is another video contest on the video gallery page.
Please have a look and let me know what you think about those moves.

okay, lets give this puppy a try Smiley

The opening move is where someone has their hand on your shoulder from behind.  This is a tricky school bully move to get you to turn when a sucker punch is waiting just behind the door.  You trap your victim's hand on your shoulder, turn and hit colon 11-14. You roll your arm in a "snake kung-fu" move which indicates a potential arm bar, or a throw.  The open hand strike goes to the 20 points of the neck. you know the next three moves really emphizes on neck and head strikes, so many meanings and stike points i can fill your box explaining them all.  the main thing is while your guy is on his knees you are repeately hitting the neck and head.  It looks like with the motion, the kata teaches mostly arm movement for slapping and jabbing.

while you are holding the arm that you trapped, you can step over the arm and body, hooking it into a break. rubbing colon 3-5 or putting pressure on the elbow tendons.

I also see a potential for throwing your victim into another attacker, and striking the mid section of the second attacker. the knuckle stike at mid section could be a set up for a kick which probally happens when you run out of film.

again, please slow yourself down and watch your posture.  I see some sluching, and leaning.  its a habit alot of americans have because of improper sitting habits at home.  also when you step you have a tendency to raise your feet wich could be a balance issue.  try to stay on the balls of your feet when you turn.  watch your hip.

Thanks for the advice. I will say that that clip is an older clip and I have slightly modified some of the techniques in my kata.
I will try to put the full kata up soon.

ohhhhhh that was you  Cool ahahhah hey, anytime I can help a fellow martial artist is always my pleasure.  when do I get my keychain  Tongue Im actually more interested in YOUR perception of the meanings in this kata.  Thats one thing I like about martial arts, its like picture arts. Someone can take a picture of a fly, and it's just a cool fly.  Put it up in a gallery, thre is some long winded expert speul attached.  a front kick will always be a front kick, put up on a you-tube comtest, well the sky's the limit Smiley
