Uses of a thumb pressing technique

Lets try to get a list of various uses for certain types of weapons.

How have you used a thumb press? This is not the same as a thumb strike.

It does not necessarily need to be to a pressure point but please include that info if you like.

A good one for this is the area on the inside of your arm where it bnds opposite your elbow. This works well for the wrist as well.
