I though I would mention a new training program I recently started.

Its called hundredpushups. More info can be found here http://www.hundredpushups.com

It is a 6 week program of about 30 mins per week (3 days about 10 mins per day)
of doing 5 sets of pushups in varying amounts with varying intervals between sets.

I am currently about to start the 5th week and I must say my arms and chest are much stronger than before the program.

At the start of the program I was able to do about 50 good pushups in a row. Currently I am able to do about 130 in a 10 minute window.
At the end of the program I have no doubt that I will be able to do 100 good pushups in a row.

If anyone else decides to try it please post about your progress.

I will keep you posted on my progress.

Just a quick update. I just started week 5 day 1 of the program.
and managed 150 pushups within 10 mins.

The program seems to be working wonders for me Smiley.

The faster u do the pushups - the more u will be able to make them.
After u achieve the training of muscles to do so many pushups, try then to do them slower and slower...slowly up,slowly down. It's very painful, but it will take u to the next level.

Very good advice. I have been working on slowing them down to make sure that each one was in perfect form. And I agree they are much more painful that way   Smiley

If you want a good exercise program for your kata  fighting power try this.
Start with pick your best kata.  Do it 50 times in the day and 100 times in the night time. Just try it you will see. Don't fool your self it works.
Increase the # a little every week. Some days I do more than 300 a day.
The last time of the day/night I do the most. Last night I did 150 If I do 300 at one time I take a 5-10 min break at the 150 mark.
It's not just exercise you will see the kata starts to speak to you. If you don't understand that just try it if you can.

I thought so. People would rather do push ups then kata. I challenge you to try it every day for one week. Then tell me what it did for you and how it felt.
